Green Dot Limited is in the process of upgrading the software on our CORETRUST Set top boxes; this process is to ensure that customers who have been installed with the above named unit receive an updated version of this system.

Steps Only for Coretrust boxes

(black STB/RED digital display)

  1. Perform a Factory Default of the STB
    • On the remote, press MENU Installation > Factory Default > OK to select Factory Default
    •  Enter(0000). STB will now show a ‘Warning’ prompt,  simply press the OK button. You  will  now be  taken to the Channel Search screen where the STB will scan all GD frequencies.
    • Once the scan is complete, another prompt called ‘Information’ will appear on the screen displaying the total number of TV and Radio stations that were scanned;  this indicates that the scan was  successful. Simply press OK to exit.
    • The television will now be on IETV
    • Having completed the above steps, you can begin viewing our Digital TV services once again.
  2. Using your remote control, please go to Menu Installation Software Update, and then press OK on your remote
  3. You will now see a message on the screen for a few seconds that says (Please wait for check OTA)
  4. A second message will immediately follow the first message saying: Found OTA! There are new version (1.1.6) Do you want to upgrade? YES or NO.
  5. Please simply advise the customer to press the OK button on the remote to select YES to upgrade
  6. At this point the Software Upgrade will begin, where the TV screen will now say (Do not power off during download) with a progress bar beneath the message.
  7. The software upgrade process lasts a maximum of 5mins. Once the progress bar gets to 25%. This is an indication that the upgrade is happening successfully and requires no further interaction with the customer to be completed.
  8. Once the upgrade is completed, please advise the customer that the STB will reboot itself showing the GD logo.
  9. The television will now be on IETV.
  10. On the remote proceed with the following steps to confirm the software upgrade was successful: press Menu Settings Information. The Software Version should now say 1.1.6TR. Press Exit to exit the Menu screen.

Having completed the above steps, you can begin viewing our Digital TV services once again.
